Career Path
If you were a working screenwriter how would you run your career?
Would you move to Hollyweird, write on assignment, pitch a few ideas, write a spec or two in your spare time?
Or, would you move out west and write specs fulltime?
Or—would you stay put? Remain in your hometown, write and sell specs?
Me? I would stay home. Write one damn great spec a year, get that puppy sold, and – here comes the REAL dream – create a space for writers. An office away from home where writers could mingle with other writers, drink coffee, surf the web (otherwise known as research), and just relax and do their ‘thing’. It would be available to writers of every stripe – fiction, non-fiction, poets, and, of course, screenwriters.
What would you do? What will your career look like?
Keep Writing!
