Sci Fi Thriller Update

Mid-month January I abandoned my first attempt at a Rom Com – just didn’t seem funny to me. So, I took up with a Sci Fi thriller that had been bouncing around in my head for a year or so. I even did something I never do – ahem — are you ready for this???

I outlined!!

I know. It’s the bane of all writers — script or otherwise — and I never, ever, created an outline for anything – but, there it is. And you know what? It allowed me to write much more quickly. Over the last two (2) weekends I have put fingers to keyboard and lo and behold 50+ pages poured out. I’m at the mid-point – where my protagonist realizes he has been chasing a False Goal and discovers the True Goal – and I’m sure future weekends will be as rewarding. A rough draft/crappy first draft in one month. You gotta love it.
